Sweaney
Sweaney recently used the FireTrak System on our Porterville Dialysis Center project. This head of wall track system is used to allow deflection for the full height studs while allowing 2 layers of drywall to be installed to maintain the fire-rating of the wall assembly. The side leg can be ordered for single & double layer applications.
Sweaney contracted with Younglove Construction on this new citrus processing plant for Paramount Farms in Delano, Ca. This project included a 500,000 sq ft industrial warehouse, a 2 story office complex, truckers lounge, catwalk observation deck, employee break areas & restrooms. Sweaney provided the metal studs & drywall, plus a water drainage EIFS system on the exterior metal stud walls. Sweaney also had the opportunity to apply a weather resistant liquid barrier from Parex Corp.
This is the new 37,000 square foot Houchin Blood Bank in Bakersfield, Ca. Sweaney was subcontracted by Wallace & Smith to provide the metal stud framing, drywall & EIFS finish for this state of the art medical facility.
Sweaney is back at Paramount Citrus plant in Delano, Ca. to help construct a 20,000 square feet 2 story addition to the 41,000 sf office building. We built in 2012 we are longstanding partners with Younglove Construction Group & will be providing the metal studs, drywall & EIFS finish at the exterior as well.
Sweaney was subcontracted by Wattenbarger Wells general contractors to provide the interior metal stud framing & drywall for the new 47,000 square foot San Dimas Medical Center. Located in the parking lot of Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, Ca., this facility will offer a variety of women’s medical services.
Sweaney is about to begin work on a 20 bed addition for Health South rehabilitation hospital. We are looking forward to participating in a project that improves the medical care in our local community. One of our goals for 2014 was to work on a OSHPOD hospital project to continue to expand our experience & improve our medical projects portfolio. Sweaney is onsite at The shops at Riverwalk project. We are subcontracting with S C Anderson to provide the metal studs & drywall for this 25 acre development that will feature a Nordstrom Rack outlet store, a Sprouts grocery outlet , a T J Maxx store & a Bevmo location.
Sweaney Inc. is a long term construction partner with Nestle/Dreyers to maintain & expand their facility in Bakersfield, Ca. We work directly with Nestle/Dreyers to provide metal stud framing, drywall & painting services. We have renovated several key areas of their facility:
- T A G area renovation
- R & D renovation
- Board room renovation
- Mail room renovation
- Think tank renovation
This relationship requires us to be very flexible with scheduling,
Sweaney was excited to be subcontracted by Wallace & Smith to work with Aera Energy Corp. to update & modernize their 60,000 sq ft facility as needed. Work included for this project is metal stud framing, drywall & painting.
In the past year we have already completed:

- 1st thru 3rd floor Atrium renovation
This is an ongoing renovation project that sometimes requires unconventional methods to meet aggressive timeframes.
We have a lot of experience with steel buildings: Constructing an office space inside a steel building system always requires some planning & innovation. Your floor plan has to match the space available from the building span, while all your subtrades have to fit all their stuff(conduits,pipes,ductwork) into walls built inside of steel beams & girts. Not to mention your final product is not supposed to look anything like a metal building on the inside!
